Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for driving automation projects, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and aiding in the development of new products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes, enhance product quality, and increase production efficiency.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead automation projects, ensuring seamless integration with existing manufacturing systems.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in production processes and layouts and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with design and development teams to support the introduction of new products into the manufacturing environment.
  • Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or opportunities for cost savings.
  • Work with production teams to monitor and improve product quality, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Design and implement process modifications to improve productivity, reduce cycle time, and lower production costs.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive performance improvements across the plant.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Assist with equipment selection, installation, and troubleshooting to optimize manufacturing capabilities.
  • Provide technical support and training to operators and production staff to ensure smooth execution of new processes or technologies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation technologies, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with project management and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
