Job Summary:
Responsible for development, implementation and management of organizational commercial strategies. Develop financial business opportunities, establish contracts, manage suppliers and determine financial positioning of business unit or company.
Job Responsibilities:
- Overall business responsibility for business including but not limited to P&L results, working capital management, managerial leadership, and employee relations.
- Develop and organize the strategy, vision and business plan for desk and its projected business growth.
- Responsible for the monitoring of position(s) to ensure risk and policy compliance.
- Lead team responsible for daily trading activities with a clear vision, focus and purpose.
- Lead, develop and maintain an expert knowledge and experience in the industry to foster productive strategic alliances and intelligence.
- Manage budgetary requirements.
- Staff, develop and motivate all direct and indirect reports and responsible functions.
- Manage trades with other traders, customers and suppliers.
- Identify, evaluate, leverage and grow the domestic and international business internally and externally.
- Formulate, develop and execute trade strategies.
- Communicate and implement the organization’s EHS Management System and its requirements to employees, visitors, and contractors
- Direct individuals under your supervision, including but not limited to supervisors, regular and temporary employees, contractors, and other affected personnel to obtain any required EHS Management System-related training
- Develop a process to maintain incident/illness prevention and health and safety programs
- Develop a process to perform risk assessments
- Determine that EHS Management System objectives and needs for units/departments are met
- Incorporate EHS Management System requirements and responsibilities into each appropriate job description, and ensure that system requirements and expectations are communicated to each employee
- (Engineering) Assess the health and safety impact of new processes and equipment, and incorporate appropriate controls
- (Procurement/Contractor) Include EHS performance when evaluating and selecting suppliers and contractors
- Maintain and improve programs for occupational health, hazardous materials management, radiation safety, general safety, incident/fire prevention, and biological safety
- Conduct periodic health and safety audits (hazards, risks, and management systems) of work areas and/or facilities
- Maintain and improve emergency action and disaster preparedness plans that provide clear roles and responsibilities for all personnel, in order to ensure familiarity and coordination between facility personnel and emergency responders
Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:
- Bachelors in finance, economics, business, agricultural sciences or related field.
- 7-10 years of related industry experience.
- Solid experience with P&L management.
- Excellent business development skills.
- Strong financial background.
- Deep knowledge of related industry.
- Demonstrated strengths in relationship building, problem solving and conflict management.
- Self-starter with proven track record of delivering on results and bottom line profitability.
- Strong quantitative, analytical skills and problem solving skills.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
