Job Description

WSN is hiring a Global HR Quality Control (QC) Transformation – Control Officer to join a leading investment bank in Tampa on a contract basis.


Overview:

The Control Officer will support the bank's HR Risk and Control organization with QC transformation initiatives under Consent Order commitments. This role involves developing and executing QC testing strategies, ensuring compliance with Control Standards, and partnering with HR stakeholders and key control functions (Audit, Compliance, ORM, Legal)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute QC testing strategies to assess control design and operating effectiveness.
  • Partner with HR teams to ensure compliance with regulatory commitments and mitigate risks.
  • Perform risk assessments, analyze controls, and provide credible challenge to business units.
  • Review artifacts, process flows, and procedures for completeness and alignment with Control Standards.
  • Document remediation efforts and validate milestone closure.
  • Provide summary reporting on gaps, observations, and resolution status.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a standardized, sustainable control environment.


Major Requirements:

  • Experience: 5–10 years in Audit and Control experience is mandatory.
  • Governance Risk and Compliance, or Regulatory transformation, with experience in financial services
  • Hands-on experience in Internal/External Audit or Compliance Testing roles, including BAU or Consent Order deliverables.
  • Strong familiarity with risk and control assessment, HR risk policies, and control testing strategies.
  • Proven ability to document processes, perform walkthroughs, and challenge stakeholders effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and project management experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on executive-level reporting and collaboration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or other related field is required.
