Process Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Oversees and assesses existing processes and workflows.
• Optimizes productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures.
• Assembles reports to document process status and changes.
• Help to designs processes and equipment related to the development and commercialization of products or services that are cost effective and within project budget.
• Track, evaluate and recommend changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy, and raw materials.
• Assesses safety requirements and ensures that these are integrated into the process; maintains reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers.
• Improves process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
• Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes.
• Identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve.
• Leads or participates in incident investigations and advises on corrective actions.
• Supports small capital projects via Direct PM role or via coordination of outside engineering/construction firm(s).
• Participates in PHA?s as needed.
• Works with Operations to update SOP?s as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
  

• Bachelor?s degree in Engineering or related experience required.
• Minimum 3 years of plant operation experience in a batch or continuous environment.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to influence at a local level and across a broad organization.
• Knowledge of industry standards and practices.
• Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to build relationships.
• Chemical industry required
