Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to oversee the daily operations of our dietary department. The ideal candidate will ensure the provision of nutritious, high-quality meals, manage dietary staff, and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.

Certified Dietary Manager Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an assisted living or healthcare setting
Must have ServSafe Food Certification
Familiarity with dietary restrictions and special dietary needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities

Certified Dietary Manager Job Duties:

Oversee and manage all aspects of the dietary department in a skilled nursing facility
Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of residents
Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions and special dietary needs, such as tube feeding
Conduct patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine individual nutritional requirements
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized dietary plans for residents
Monitor food production and service to ensure quality and adherence to safety standards
Train and supervise dietary staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance management
Maintain inventory of food and supplies, and order as needed
Monitor budget and expenses related to the dietary department
