Job Description
At Wellnest, we’re not just a mental health organization—we’re a community dedicated to transforming lives. Since 1924, we’ve been pioneers in innovative mental health and supportive services, specializing in early intervention, trauma-informed care, youth development, and family support. Through our Socially Integrated Service Model, we address the needs of the whole child, from infancy to young adulthood, and empower families to thrive in healthy, supportive communities.

About the Role
We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director for Intensive Services to take on a leadership role within our organization. You’ll oversee the day-to-day management and strategic direction of our intensive services programs, ensuring that we deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care to the children, youth, and families we serve. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll balance administrative responsibilities, program management, and clinical supervision.

Key Responsibilities
As the Assistant Director, you’ll:

Lead and Oversee Service Delivery: Ensure the effective operation of intensive services programs, aligning all activities with contracts and compliance standards.
Develop and Manage Budgets: Oversee program budgets, ensuring proper allocation of resources, managing Flex Funds, and maintaining contractual census requirements.
Supervise and Support Staff: Recruit, train, and evaluate clinical and non-clinical staff, providing weekly individual and group supervision to develop their skills and maintain a high standard of care.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all clinical records meet legal, ethical, and compliance standards. Perform regular audits of documentation and ensure the application of best practices in trauma-informed care.
Foster Internal and External Collaboration: Partner with internal departments like Accounting, Human Resources, and Total Quality Management, while building relationships with external stakeholders to support program success.
Represent Wellnest in the Community: Actively engage with the community by attending meetings, events, and fostering partnerships with schools, service providers, and agencies to enhance Wellnest’s impact.
Ensure Contractual Compliance: Monitor and ensure all outcome measures, reporting, and documentation requirements are met in accordance with county, state, and federal regulations.
Act as Clinical Supervisor: Step in as a Clinical Supervisor when needed, providing hands-on guidance to Master’s level clinicians, Bachelor’s level staff, and paraprofessionals.

What You Bring
We’re seeking a leader with:

Education & Licensure: A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or equivalent, with an active CA license (LCSW or LMFT).
Experience: At least 2 years of post-licensure experience supervising mental health clinicians and 2 years of administrative experience in treatment program implementation.
Knowledge: Expertise in trauma-informed, client-centered services and proficiency with Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (DMH) clinical paperwork.
Skills: Outstanding organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams and manage multiple priorities.

Why Wellnest?

Competitive Salary: $91,717 - $102,723 annually.
Comprehensive Benefits: Personalized health benefits, employer-paid life insurance, long-term disability, pet insurance, and more.
Retirement Perks: 401(k) with up to 3% match and up to 5% profit sharing contribution.
Flexibility & Growth: Thrive in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment with opportunities to innovate and grow professionally.

If you’re passionate about leading a team that transforms lives and thrives in a collaborative, community-focused environment, this is your opportunity. Apply now and help us create brighter futures for children, youth, and families!
