Senior Internal Auditor

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of financial, operational, and compliance controls.

Develop and execute audit programs based on risk assessments and business objectives.

Identify control weaknesses and provide recommendations for process improvements.

Analyze financial statements and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or other applicable accounting standards.

Prepare clear and concise audit reports, presenting findings to senior management and stakeholders.

Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and provide follow-up audits as needed.

Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Assist in the development and enhancement of internal audit policies and procedures.

Support external auditors and regulatory examiners as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

CPA, CIA, or other relevant certification preferred.

Minimum of 4-6 years of internal auditing experience.

Strong knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in audit software and financial systems.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a corporate internal audit function or public accounting.

Knowledge of IT auditing and data analytics.

Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.

Compensation:
$80 - $110k depending on education, experience and certifications.
