Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and leadership skills to manage a team and contribute to the organization's financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management and Reporting:

Prepare and oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial information.

Accounting Operations:

Supervise and manage accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and fixed assets.
Implement and enforce policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings.
Coordinate external audits and prepare required documentation.

Team Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Assign tasks, set objectives, and evaluate performance.

Strategic Planning and Analysis:

Provide insights and support to executive leadership on financial planning and budgeting.
Analyze financial performance and trends to identify growth opportunities and cost-saving strategies.
Contribute to business planning, financial modeling, and strategic initiatives.

Systems and Process Improvement:

Evaluate and implement financial systems, tools, and technologies to optimize workflow.
Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance processes, reporting, and data accuracy.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
Technical Skills: Proficient in ERP systems, advanced Excel skills, and financial reporting software.
Competencies: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Leadership: Proven experience in managing teams and working collaboratively across departments.
