Cost Accountant

Key Responsibilities

Analyze production costs and variances to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Prepare detailed cost reports, including cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory valuations, and project costing.

Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to costs and profitability.

Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.

Provide cost insights to support management in strategic decision-making.

Conduct regular reviews of inventory levels and valuations.

Coordinate physical inventory counts and reconcile variances.

Develop and implement effective inventory control processes.

Evaluate current processes to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Collaborate with production and procurement teams to optimize costs.

Implement and maintain standard costing systems.

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policies, and legal regulations.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for cost accounting processes.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience as a Cost Accountant or similar role, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Compensation:
