About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission-driven organization, which is dedicated to the acquisition, development, preservation, and management of service-enriched affordable housing for low to moderate-income households. The successful candidate will be responsible for navigating the transition to an externally led model, strengthening partnerships with various stakeholders, and collaborating with the Board of Directors to implement and refine the strategic plan. Key duties include evaluating the organization's financial health, modernizing internal operations, and championing human resource strategies to build and retain a high-quality staff. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years' senior leadership experience, a background in housing or real estate development, and a strong understanding of the complexities of affordable housing finance. The Executive Director will be a visionary and strategic change agent, with the ability to inspire and drive participation. They must be a strong leader of people and culture, with experience in team building, and a proven track record of growing and sustaining a strong Board of Directors. The role requires a networker and relationship builder with excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders. The candidate should be a transparent and open-minded communicator, both internally and externally, and be committed to the values of diversity, inclusion, and cultural competence. A background in the New England housing market is advantageous, and a passion for real estate, community, and economic development is essential.
