The Financial Planning & Business Analyst I supports Executive Management by analyzing financial and operational trends, assisting with budget planning, and contributing to business process improvements. This role involves financial modeling, reporting, and collaboration with various teams to drive efficiency and strategic decision-making. A minimum of 1 full budget cycle experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze company activities and trends, comparing results against service standards and best practices.
• Work closely with Business Intelligence Analysts (BIA) to improve data accuracy and financial metrics.
• Identify opportunities for operational and financial improvement and present findings.
• Support business units in executing plans and achieving financial goals.
• Assist in the preparation and execution of the Annual Operating Plan and Rolling Forecast process.
• Continuously seek opportunities to expand financial and business analysis expertise.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience participating in at least 1 full budget cycle.
Preferred Skills
• Ability to create interactive financial models, incorporating metrics like NPV, IRR, WACC, ROA, and ROI.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with data querying tools (Microsoft Query, VBA, Business Objects, SQL).
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize workloads, and collaborate in a team environment.
