Job Details

Jobot is partnering with a growing organization headquartered outside of Salt Lake City, UT to staff a position as a Controller. The Controller will be responsible for the following:

  • Oversee all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory management, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Ensure the integrity of financial records, internal controls, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to create budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans that support business growth.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
  • Lead the accounting team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and manage tax compliance processes.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and reporting tools, optimizing efficiency in alignment with business objectives.
  • Support operational teams to streamline logistics-related financial processes, ensuring profitability and cost control.

If you have a Bachelors in Accounting or Finance with a CPA/CMA being preferred, 10+ years of progressive, full cycle accounting experience, 2+ years of leadership and development, excellent communication skills, experience in logistics/manufacturing/supply chain or similar industries, enjoy working in a fast paced, team environment, are tech savvy and have experience with QuickBooks and ERP platforms and are eager to add value and help grow an organization than this could be a great opportunity for you.
