Location: Katy, TX

Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour


Position Overview


As a member of the systems manufacturing team, the QC Test Technician will be responsible for visually inspecting all units to be tested (pre-power inspection) and performing production line acceptance testing using a combination of manual and automated test equipment. The technician should have strong troubleshooting techniques to identify problems during tests and provide timely solutions.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Perform visual inspections on all product lines.
  • Conduct production line acceptance testing, including insulation tests and function tests.
  • Work from instructions, drawings, and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and deliver results efficiently.
  • Record test results and complete test reports/paperwork per instructions/procedures.
  • Report issues on failed units.
  • Perform some mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Handle large gauge cables and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Collaborate effectively in a team environment with limited supervision.
  • Maintain outstanding work ethics and commitment to organizational success.
  • Follow and comply with Company Safety Standards.
  • Available to work evening shifts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education/Experience


  • 2 - 5 years’ experience in the electric industry.
  • Two-year technical degree in Applied Electrical Engineering or equivalent, or comparable industry experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics.
  • Experience in power electronics and operating standard test equipment (DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Power Analyzers, Isolation Testers, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
