About the Company

Boyd, Richards, Parker, Colonnelli, a civil litigation defense firm, is seeking an experienced and motivated attorney for its New York office. Strong interest in attorneys with General Liability defense work in condo/co-op claims. The candidate must be admitted to practice in New York (New Jersey a plus), possess strong writing skills and be comfortable litigating cases from inception through trial, appearing in court, handling depositions and working in a team-oriented environment.

About the Role

The salary range for this position is $145,000 - $225,000 and the actual compensation will depend on the candidates qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Managing case load from inception to post-trial
• Attending court conferences, oral arguments, depositions, mediations, and trials
• Preparing pleadings, discovery, discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documents
• Preparing timely reports regarding case status and ongoing activities
• Ability to prioritize work-load based on deadlines
• Communicating effectively with clients, senior attorneys and paralegals
• Meeting billing requirements
• Completing tasks as assigned in a timely manner

Required Skills

• Trial experience a plus
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
• Ability to interact with attorneys, paralegals, court personnel, opposing counsel, clients, and office staff in a professional manner
• Ability to delegate and prioritize as necessary
• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge of ProLaw, iTimekeep and NetDocs a plus

Required Qualifications

Member in Good Standing of the New York bar, admission to the federal District Courts a plus
