Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP is seeking an associate for our Environmental Department with 2-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in environmental compliance and litigation at federal, state, and local levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compliance counseling to ensure adherence to environmental regulations.
• Develop strategies for site remediation cost recovery and manage related litigation.
• Conduct transactional due diligence to assess environmental liabilities.
• Draft and negotiate contracts and agreements with environmental considerations.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with the New Jersey State Bar (required) and New York State Bar
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated experience representing clients before key regulatory bodies such as the NJ Department of Environmental Protection, EPA, NY Department of Environmental Conservation, and NY Department of Health
• Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards
