Job Details
We are looking for a Billing Specialist for a great client in Irvine, CA. The successful candidate will be a vital part of our financial operations, ensuring that our company maintains financial health and operational efficiency. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a keen eye for detail. As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of billing, from creating invoices to resolving client inquiries. Responsibilities:As a Billing Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing and streamlining billing and collections processes.2. Creating and sending out invoices, following up on unpaid bills, and resolving complex billing issues.3. Working closely with the project management team to understand project budgeting, job costing, and labor/materials allocation.4. Coordinating with A/R to ensure that all bills are paid in a timely manner.5. Performing account reconciliation, preparing and recording journal entries, and assisting with month-end close processes.6. Monitoring customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.7. Generating financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.8. Ensuring compliance with established internal and external accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications:To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the engineering or construction industry.2. Knowledge of A/R, entries, construction, job costing, labor, materials, and industrial services.3. Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office Suite, particularly strong Excel skills.4. Strong understanding of billing and financial concepts.5. Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, and attention to detail.6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.7. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.8. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.9. QuickBooks Online
