Employ is seeking a dynamic, growth-oriented Chief Financial Officer to guide the company’s continued growth acceleration and enterprise value creation. The successful candidate will have proven experience scaling private equity-backed SaaS/enterprise software companies through organic and M&A led growth strategies.The Employ CFO will have a broad range of leadership responsibilities, from board room discussions and public speaking engagements to hands-on oversight of Employ’s finance, legal, operations, IT, and Security teams and be a key member of the Employ executive leadership team. They must thrive in a high-growth, fluid, and metrics-oriented environment, with a deep passion for driving results. This role reports to the CEO of Employ.CFO Responsibilities:
Lead finance, legal, business intelligence, IT & Security teamsServe as a key member of the Employ executive leadership teamAssess, evaluate, and optimize financial performanceManage strategic planning and budgeting processPartner with the Executive Leadership Team to establish and achieve yearly top and bottom-line financial objectivesPartner with CEO on M&A strategy, transactions, capital fundraising, and integration planningOptimize and improve the efficiency of internal Company operationsImplement, maintain, and audit internal financial controls, policies, and proceduresPrepare and present regular financial reports as required by management and Board of DirectorsStrong leadership presence. Internal/external storyteller and simplifierPublic speaking – both internally and externally with industry analysts and investorsManage the preparation and support of all external audits and diligence requestsOversee the management of the Company’s capitalization tableCFO Requirements:
Experience scaling a $100M company to $500M and beyond either as a CFO or senior executive finance executiveProven experience in a private equity or public company high growth business; prior experience taking a company public a strong plusStrategic/operational CFO who will be a strong business partner to the CEO and be externally facing to customers/partners/board of investorsPrevious experience in high growth, enterprise software environments and track record of successfully scaling a SaaS businessExperience with M&A (both buying and selling) and post-acquisition integrationInternational business experienceDeep SaaS model experience, services a plusDirect and indirect customer acquisition model experience“Hands-on” financial team leadership approachM&A and integration experienceAbility to influence and motivate staff inside and outside immediate span of controlOutstanding communication and presentation skillsExcellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skillsCPA or MBA preferredThis position is based in our Waltham, MA office.
