Position Overview

We are seeking a

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

to join a pediatric therapy team in

South Boston, VA . This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and motivated COTA to work in a

supportive and collaborative environment , helping children develop essential skills for daily living and independence. Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT), you will assist in providing high-quality therapy services tailored to each child's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans

developed by the Occupational Therapist to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.Work directly with children

in a clinic setting, using engaging and evidence-based techniques to promote independence and skill development.Collaborate with the OT, families, and other therapy team members

to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.Educate and support parents and caregivers

by demonstrating therapy techniques and providing guidance for home-based activities.Document and maintain accurate records

of treatment sessions, progress notes, and patient responses in compliance with clinic policies.Stay informed

on best practices in pediatric occupational therapy through professional development and training opportunities.Participate in team meetings and case discussions

to contribute to the child's overall treatment plan.Benefits & Perks

Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.Current

COTA licensure in the state of Virginia

(or eligibility to obtain licensure).Pediatric experience preferred, but new graduates with a passion for working with children are encouraged to apply.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to create engaging and fun therapy sessions tailored to each child's needs.
