Our client, a growing real estate company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing team.

Responsibilities:

1. Preparing financial statements and reporting are a large part of the senior accountant’s day-to-day work. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.

2. Overseeing general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

3. Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments.

4. Utilizing hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices to perform complex accounting activities and financial analyses.

5. Working closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and procedures.

6. Assisting with tax audits and tax returns.

7. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Job Details

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

2. 1+ years audit experience required.

3. Experience with audit, GAAP, and pursuing CPA.

4. Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.

5. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

6. Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.

7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

8. Excellent communication and leadership skills.

9. Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.

10. High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
