Leading OB Gyn office has an immediate opening for an Ultrasound Technician to join their growing team in West Bloomfield. This is a full-time, in-office position Monday - Friday.

The ideal candidate for this role will have 2+ years of clinical diagnostic experience in an OB Gyn setting and demonstrate a strong attention to detail. To be successful in this position, you must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to delivering compassionate patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform OB Gyn Ultrasound scans on patients while following department safety protocols.
• Provide quality care and services to patients in a compassionate and professional manner.
• Utilize excellent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with patients and medical staff.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Stay up to date on the latest medical technology and best practices for OB Gyn Ultrasound scans.
• Monitor equipment and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
• Participate in continuing education courses to maintain current knowledge and skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• High School Graduate required. Associate degree preferred.
• At least two (2) years of full-time experience in clinical diagnostic ultrasound preferred, satisfactory completion of a formal training program in diagnostic ultrasound.  Excellent knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology and a high degree of technical expertise.
• Experience with GE equipment is preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED

• Become and maintain RDMS registered at time of hire/transfer date required.
• NT/Nuchal Translucency Certification preferred.

•         American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography ARDMS; OB/GYN credential Nuchal Translucency Certification (FMF or NTQR); BLS Credentialed by American Heart Association (AHA) Experience with Nuchal Translucency and fetal echos required.
