About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President to lead its newly formed Association for Consumer Debt Relief. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the organization's mission to advocate for the debt settlement industry and its consumers, with a focus on influencing public policy and promoting the benefits of debt relief. Key responsibilities for the CEO include leading a nonpartisan political and advocacy agenda, serving as the chief spokesperson on policy issues, and establishing strategic priorities in collaboration with the Board of Directors. The role demands a strategic, accomplished leader with a proven track record in government affairs, particularly in the consumer finance sector, and a passion for advancing the industry's agenda with credibility and integrity.The ideal CEO will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, a strong network of relationships with legislators and regulators, and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders to achieve the organization's goals. They must be a persuasive communicator, capable of raising the visibility of the association's mission and forging strategic partnerships. The role also requires outstanding interpersonal skills, the ability to motivate and manage staff, and a commitment to the highest ethical standards. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree being highly desirable. The position is based in the United States and may require domestic travel of 25% to 30% of the time.
