As a product manager, you will proactively engage with internal and external groups to drive market awareness for Oracle solutions in the data protection market. Activities include analyzing industry trends, gathering competitive intelligence, regular engagements with strategic customers, making pitches in data management/security industry conferences, and coordinating launch activities with Oracle marketing and partners.Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture.Build new products and development tools. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA.Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.You will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and explain product directions and specifications.Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.Qualifications

BS or MS degree with 3-5 years experience relevant to functional area preferred.Certain US customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization and occupational health mandates.The Oracle Data Protection Technologies team is looking for a top class Product Manager, to be a member of the core team behind Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN), Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance, and Zero Data Loss Autonomous Recovery Service.In this role, you will be working with an elite group of software developers and product managers to assist with current initiatives around developing and marketing Oracle’s capabilities for data protection. You may also be expected to take complete product management ownership on selected areas as well as products to be released in the future.
