*JOB SUMMARY*

The *MRI Technologist* performs *magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures* on ambulatory and hospital patients under the supervision of a Radiologist. The role involves capturing high-quality images to assist physicians in diagnosing diseases and injuries while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*
* Perform high-quality MRI procedures according to established protocols.
* Communicate effectively with patients using *AIDET* to ensure a positive experience.
* Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain accurate imaging results.
* Maintain safety and infection-control procedures, including proper sterilization techniques.
* Ensure equipment is functioning optimally by working with engineers and physicists.
* Obtain and verify all necessary patient documentation, including consent forms and medical history.
* Maintain accurate imaging records in accordance with department policies.

* Ability to perform MRI procedures efficiently and accurately.
* Strong communication skills to explain procedures and reassure patients.
* Ability to work independently and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to maintain professionalism and customer satisfaction, even in stressful situations.
* Knowledge of age-specific patient care from newborns to geriatrics.
* Willingness to train and mentor new team members.
* Ability to take call shifts, if required.

*QUALIFICATIONS*

*Education:*
* High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.

*Certification/License:*
* *Basic Life Support (BLS)* – Required within 30 days of hire.
* *Certification in MRI Technology* by one of the following:
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in MRI *(ARRT-MR)* or Radiography *(ARRT-R)*
* American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists *(ARMRIT)*

Pay: $33.00 - $48.00 per hour
