*Title: Financial Counselor*

*Location: ?475 South, Morristown, NJ 07960*

*Duration: 03+ months Contract with the possibility of an Extension*

*Shift timing: Mon to Fri - 9:00 Am to 5:00 Pm*

*Pay Rate:$25.8/hr on W2.*

*Duties:*
* Evaluates the patient’s ability to pay for services.
* As appropriate, create payment arrangements via cash, check, credit card, or payment plan.
* Utilizes the Epic estimator tool to provide estimates and collect upfront payments, deductibles, and copays.
* Interview patients at the bedside, on the phone,e or in the office to determine eligibility for financial assistance.
* Completes and approves or submits completed applications for charity care, Medicaid, and 501R.
* Obtains insurance information, checks eligibility for active coverage,e and updates patients' accounts accordingly.
* Answering and returning phone calls and other general office tasks.
* Other duties as assigned.

*Minimum Degree Required: *

Completed High School (Diploma or GED)

*Skills: *
* Charity Care experience, EOB experience, Medicaid experience, upfront cash collection.
* Bilingual preferred
