  • ICU/PCU RN position at St Alexius Health Bismarck Medical Center
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Profile review and manager interview required
  • Department: ICU/PCU RN
  • Common diagnoses include CABG, carotids, VATs, cardiovascular issues, STEMIs, sepsis, and more.
    Job Requirements
  • Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
  • Prefer experience with IABP, Impella, prismaflex, ventilators, and arctic sun
  • RNs required to titrate critical care drips and vasopressors
  • Must be willing to take PCU assignments
    Schedule Information
  • Shifts: 7a-7p, 7p-7a
  • Manager to make schedule, will consider blocks if meets unit needs
  • Weekend Requirements: Every other
  • Holiday Requirements: Every other
  • Floating Requirements: All areas as helping hands
    Unit Specific Information
  • # of Beds: 15
  • Nurse:Patient Ratios: ICU 1:1:2, PCU 1:3
  • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: critical care drips, vasopressors, heparin, lasix, antiarrhythmics
  • Charge nurse goes to codes, normally no assignment, may take 1 patient if needed
  • RNs required to read and interpret their own strips, no monitor techs
    Additional Details
  • Radius Rule: 50 miles
  • Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit
  • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract)
  • Additional RTO will not be approved after submissions
  • DL needed upon submittal
