Job Specialty: Behavioral Health - Mental Health

Shift: 8 Hours Rotating

Experience: New grads can be considered; psych or ED experience preferred

License: Licensed to practice in the state of Michigan

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Behavioral Health team. As a RN, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families.

Responsibilities:

• Perform the nursing process as a basis for patient care
• Provide direction and oversight to licensed and non-licensed staff
• Show compassion through integrity, stewardship, empowerment, the promotion of diversity, and professional excellence
• Assess care needs, develop a plan of care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and continually reassess the plan according to care needs
• Collaborate with physicians to provide and coordinate nursing care to individuals and groups
• Teach families/significant others in discharge/aftercare planning needs
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients and staff in both individual and group settings
• Document, report, and verify all necessary information according to established policies and procedures
• Monitor and report any potential risk to patient safety that could lead to an adverse outcome

Requirements:

• Able to provide culturally inclusive care with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community setting
• Licensed to practice in the state of Michigan
• New grads can be considered; psych or ED experience preferred
