About Your Role
As a Medication Aide, you will be responsible for administering medications, direct resident care, and promoting independence while supporting activities of daily living.
Your Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications under the direction of a licensed nurse.
- Report promptly to the nurse any resident requests or needs for PRN medications.
- Notify the nurse of any adverse reactions to medications.
- Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
- Communicate effectively with residents, staff management, and families.
- Maintain knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
- Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and meal intake documentation.
- Respond to call lights and assist residents as needed.
- Participate in maintaining a therapeutic environment for residents.
- Encourage resident involvement in activities and assist with transportation.
- Lift, turn, and reposition residents as needed.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Care or Designee.
Requirements
- Valid Medication Aide Certificate authorized by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- CPR certification.
- Nurse Aide Certification.
