Job Description

Dang Law Group is seeking a paralegal. Spanish/English speaking with law office experience preferred. The individual will provide case management services and various kinds of support to the attorneys of Dang Law Group.

Responsibilities -

  • Collaborate with lawyers to manage and organize litigation cases from inception to conclusion.
  • Maintain and update case files, including pleadings, respond to and propound written discovery, correspondence, expert reports, and exhibits.
  • Prepare and manage case timelines, calendars, and deadlines to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate with external parties, such as clients, witnesses, experts, vendors and opposing counsel, as necessary.
  • Order, review and summarize medical records
  • Assist preparing reports, affidavits, correspondences, declarations demands and petitions
  • Prepare exhibit binders for mediations, arbitrations, and trial
  • Conduct legal research using various online and offline resources (including Westlaw, LEXIS, and PACER) to gather relevant information
  • Analyze legal issues, court rules, statutes, regulations, and case precedents to support case strategy and decision-making.
  • Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and affidavits.
  • Bluebook, Cite check, and Sheppardize briefs and prepare tables of authorities.
  • Conduct electronic and paper filings with the court and assist with the preparation and filing of court documents, ensuring adherence to court rules e-filing procedures.
  • Provide back-up coverage for other paralegals as needed
  • Assist with pro bono and business development projects
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Required Skills -

  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
  • Civil litigation experience personal injury law preferred
  • Knowledge in case management software Neos/Needles/ My Case a plus
  • Knowledge of electronic filings (state and federal), as well as court rules and procedures, litigation terminology, and documentation
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail: avoid common and frequent mistakes; complete complex projects and tasks without error
  • Research and analysis: proficiency in research and analysis to enable informed decision-making, innovative problem-solving, and superior client service.

Pay range and compensation -

$55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
