AVP System Administration Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic AVP System Administration Manager to lead our IT infrastructure and operations. In this role, you will oversee critical areas such as systems, security, networks, and core business applications, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with organizational goals. You will manage vendor relationships, ensure compliance with audit standards, develop disaster recovery plans, and lead a dedicated team of three IT professionals.
Responsibilities
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong vendor partnerships, manage service-level agreements (SLAs), and evaluate new vendor options as needed.
- Information Security: Collaborate with the Information Security Manager to enhance security measures, address vulnerabilities, and implement industry best practices.
- Core System Administration: Manage the configuration, maintenance, and performance of the organization's core systems.
- Network Administration: Ensure optimal performance of local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) and oversee network hardware configuration.
- Help Desk Leadership: Lead a help desk team to deliver exceptional support, establish procedures, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve service levels and user satisfaction.
- Audit and Compliance: Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards and assist with audits and corrective actions as required.
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Systems Integration: Oversee interfaces between the core system and third-party solutions, ensuring secure and efficient data flow.
- Enterprise Content Management (ECM): Optimize ECM systems for secure and efficient content access while partnering with teams to implement automation solutions.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure), balancing performance, security, and cost objectives.
- Office 365 Administration: Manage and secure Office 365 services, including email, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Hardware & Software Management: Oversee IT asset lifecycles, including procurement, installation, and maintenance of hardware and software.
- Business Automation: Identify and implement automation technologies such as robotic process automation (RPA) to enhance operational efficiency.
- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI): Design and manage scalable, secure virtual desktop environments for remote and on-site users.
- Strategic IT Planning: Support long-term IT strategy development, evaluating emerging technologies to drive innovation.
- Leadership & Development: Mentor and guide a team of three, fostering professional growth through regular feedback and performance reviews.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CISSP, PMP, ITIL, MCSE) are a plus.
- Experience: 5-7 years of IT experience, including 2-3 years in leadership roles. Experience with VDI implementation is preferred.
- Skills:
- Expertise in IT infrastructure, networks, and systems management.
- Experience with core business systems, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise content management.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, audit processes, and disaster recovery planning.
- Excellent communication, vendor management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects and automation initiatives.
