We are hiring Sr. Business Analyst with CFA Certification for New York City, NY.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with experience in chargeback processes within the banking industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of banking operations, and experience in managing chargeback and dispute resolution processes. This role will be critical in enhancing our systems and processes to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements related to chargeback processes and systems.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications that guide system development and enhancements.
- Create detail user stories to be consumed by development and testing team.
- Work with IT teams to design and implement system solutions that improve chargeback workflows, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases to validate system changes, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Analyze and document the current chargeback processes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor and report on chargeback metrics, trends, and compliance with policies and regulations.
- Serve as a liaison between business, development, architecture, and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of chargeback-related projects and initiatives.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate users on chargeback systems and processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to chargebacks and disputes.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to better serve customer needs.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and procedures related to chargebacks.
- Prepare and present reports to management on chargeback performance and system effectiveness.
Requirements:
You are:
- 9+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in the banking or financial services industry, with specific experience in chargebacks and dispute resolution.
- Strong understanding of chargeback regulations, processes, and industry standards (e.g., Visa, MasterCard).
- Proficient in business analysis tools and methodologies, including requirements gathering and process modeling.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
