Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join our dynamic team. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and maintaining accurate payroll records. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll systems, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work with business partners effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Manage and execute the end-to-end payroll process, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including employee information, time and attendance, and payroll adjustments.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and external agencies as required.
- System Management: Oversee the payroll system, including troubleshooting issues and implementing updates and improvements.
- Prepare monthly journal entries accruals.
- Team Management: Lead and manage the payroll team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Audit: Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of payroll management experience, preferably in a mid to large-sized organization.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of payroll systems, tax laws, and regulations.
Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to work with business partners and within a team environment.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Certification: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred but not required.
