GoodVets is looking to hire a Payroll Manager to support the expansion and scaling of the Company. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for the Company’s end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timely execution as well as collaborating cross-functionally to drive efficiency and compliance. The Impact You Will Have Every Day:
- Own the comprehensive payroll process, overseeing payroll operations and reviewing payroll-related changes to ensure accurate payroll payments, reporting and records.
- Review month-end journal entries and reconciliations for payroll accounts and actively partner with Finance to support the month-end close process.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state and local tax regulations.
- Overseethe processing of garnishments, benefits deductions, 401(k) contributions, and tax withholdings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies, collaborating with managers and third-party vendors as needed.
- Continuously evaluate current payroll processes; design short-term and long-term strategies for improvement in payroll operations leading to best practices in all aspects of the payroll process.
- Lead cross-functional evaluation and implementation of new enterprise-level HRIS system to increase efficiency, effectiveness and scalability of payroll and benefits administration.
- Establishand ensure consistent adherence to payroll policies, procedures and controls.
- Lead and manage cross-functional payroll projects from initiation to completion.
- Overseeand conduct end-to-end payroll-related audits.
What We Look For:
- Bachelor'sdegree in accounting, finance, human resources or related field
- 7+ years of progressive payroll experience in a multi-state, multi-site, high volume environment, 2+ years in a lead/manager role
- Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll laws and regulations
- Experience and proficiency in Paycor or other payroll and HRIS systems, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience and proficiency in NetSuite
- Experience working independently with proven ability to drive results in ambiguity and develop payroll processes from the ground-up
- Experience with design, implementation and optimization of HR/Payroll Technology
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Detailorientation, with robust analytical capabilities and project management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to collaborate and establish relationships with business partners
