Job Title: AWS Engineer

Experience Range: 5+ years

Technical/Functional Skills:

1. 5+ years’ experience in cloud computing
2. Experience managing common AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudFormation, etc.)
3. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
4. Experience in basic administration of MySQL, MSSQL, Postgres, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and/or ElasticSearch
5. Experience working in regulated environments (HIPAA, PCI, ITAR, etc.)
6. Knowledgeable about networking and security
7. Knowledgeable about configuration management frameworks such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
8. Strong hands-on experience with one or more programming languages (Python or Java)
9. Experience with CICD pipelines, automated test frameworks, DevOps, and source code management tools (XLR, Jenkins, Git, Maven)
10. Strong communication and analytical skills, including effective presentation skills
11. Familiarity with Agile & Scrum ceremonies

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Work with customer engineering teams on a wide variety of AWS projects, including migration, containerization, and transformation
2. Write infrastructure as code
3. Perform AWS environment troubleshooting and setup
4. Meet customer SLAs and manage communication in case of issues
5. Configure and maintain backup, monitoring, and alerting systems for multiple clients
6. Interact with teams and customers to ensure 24/7 support
7. Administrate automated deployments and scripting using Bash, PowerShell, and/or Python
8. Participate in work sessions with clients
9. Complete technical documentation
10. Deliver quality work in an agile team environment

Salary Range: $90,000 to $120,000 a year
