$70.00/hr - $75.00/hr
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join a leading Hardware Engineering team, focusing on Standalone Accessories. In this role, you will oversee the development and execution of accessory products, ensuring alignment with design, planning, and validation processes.
This is slated as a 6-8 month contract with strong probability of extension/conversion and is a hybrid role based out of the Sunnyvale/Cupertino area.
Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring deliverables are met.
- Partner with engineering, operations, marketing, and OEM teams to achieve schedule and quality targets.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams to streamline processes.
- Identify and allocate resources needed for successful project execution.
- Proactively manage risks, resolve issues, and maintain critical path objectives.
- Ensure product integration aligns with global trade compliance and consumer laws.
- Drive product timeline development and synchronize deliverables with teams and CM partners.
- Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle from NPI (New Product Introduction) to EOL (End of Life).
- Manage material availability (CTB) and coordinate parts logistics for product builds.
- Provide regular project updates, status reports, and escalations to stakeholders.
- Lead First Article Inspections (FAIs) with cross-functional teams.
- Review and approve Customer Experience Testing (CET) for OK2Ship decisions.
- Ensure product data accuracy, including ECOs, AML, NRCs, APNs, and BOMs.
- Administer FAI tools and manage configuration processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field, or 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of tailoring information for various audiences.
- Proactive problem solver with creative and critical thinking abilities.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with rapid development cycles.
- Familiarity with portable consumer electronics and mechanical enclosure components.
- Solid understanding of product development and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working with Operations, Mechanical Engineering, Design, and Marketing teams.
