The Superintendent is responsible for all field related activity such as jobsite safety, cost, quality, and schedule on one or more projects, depending on scope and scale of the work. They work closely with management staff regarding all aspects of the project. They also communicate regularly with the General Superintendent, requesting support and taking direction as necessary to ensure successful project delivery. Maintain relationships with Clients, Architects, Consultants and Subcontractors. Daily activities are conducted to promote the company's vision, mission, and core values.
Qualifications
- Must possess a minimum of five years’ experience as a commercial superintendent and /or training.
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently.
- Must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Must have strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Must be able to meet high quality standards while meeting aggressive schedules/deadlines.
- Must display strong leadership skills and personal accountability.
- Language Ability – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Math ability – Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Reasoning ability – Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer Skills – Basic computer skills needed.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
