Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Paralegal to join our client's team in Miami. The ideal candidate will have experience working in estate planning, trust administration, and wealth management, assisting attorneys and clients with the complex legal and financial matters that encompass commercial real estate transactions , wealth preservation and transfers.


NOTE: This is NOT a litigation role .


This position requires a high degree of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and financial professionals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in preparing, drafting, and revising estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Conduct legal research on estate planning, tax, and trust-related matters.
  • Maintain and organize client files, ensuring that documents are complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
  • Communicate directly with clients and financial advisors to gather necessary information, schedule appointments, and answer general questions.
  • Review and organize financial documents such as bank statements, investment portfolios, tax returns, and real estate records for estate planning purposes.
  • Assist with the administration of trusts and estates, including probate filings, asset distribution, and related matters.
  • Coordinate and track important deadlines related to estate planning and trust administration.
  • Monitor changes in estate planning laws and regulations and assist in implementing necessary updates for clients.
  • Provide support in preparation for meetings, including drafting agendas, compiling materials, and attending client meetings as needed.


Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of experience as a legal assistant/paralegal, at a law firm with a focus on estate planning, wealth management, or trust administration preferred.
  • Strong understanding of probate, estate planning, tax laws, and fiduciary duties.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all work produced.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and legal teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, I-Manage, Westlaw, Lexis and other legal research tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Strong ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
