Utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation), the RN is responsible for providing, delegating, supervising, and documenting patient care and education for both patients and their families. The RN will effectively communicate relevant patient information to the healthcare team and collaborate in identifying and addressing any variances from patient care goals.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).Provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and education.Communicate pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team.Participate in identifying and addressing variances from patient care goals.Float between various units, including potential rotation to the ED and ED observation areas.Maintain a patient ratio of no more than 1:6, typical for Level 3 trauma settings.Required Skills & Experience:Minimum of 2 years of recent and relevant Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience.ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills to develop effective nursing care plans.Ability to perform a wide range of professional nursing services.Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff.Preferred Skills & Experience:TNCC, ENPC, PALS, and CPI certifications are preferred but not required.Schedule Details:Shift Hours: 7:00 PM 7:30 AMFloat Position: Staffed every 4 hours with the possibility of being pulled to the ED or ED observationCampaign Code: ET_PN01
