Job Summary:

Reporting to the RVP with indirect reporting to the VP of Finance, the Regional Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining transparency of information critical to daily decisions to the organization and for collaborating with all necessary parties within the Region and organization. The incumbent will ensure daily tactical decisions meet the objectives of the strategic goals of the Region. The incumbent will make business presentations to Senior Leadership to support existing and growth potential.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Manage back-office team and the associated processes for the support of the Region.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Oversee branch operations managers' contract and repair material ordering and job scheduling.
  • Track current and future repair manpower requirements for all MW branches.
  • Conduct regular branch visits to survey and review large repair initiatives and projects.
  • Along with branch managers, maintain responsibility and accountability for monthly, quarterly, and annual budget targets.
  • Organize and sustain periodic maintenance visits to engage technician support to repair objectives.
  • Train and educate sales representatives in sold repair practices.
  • As required by region leadership, engage with customers on escalated repair jobs.
  • As practical, provide labor support to branches to facilitate expediency of repair projects
  • Manage route structure optimization with real time route completion, focusing on cancellation risk mitigation.
  • Focus on overall talent pool improvement with a focus on creating a pipeline for future expert level technicians.
  • Provide hands-on field assistance based upon experience level where appropriate.
  • Manage backlog and team availability to maximize profits monthly; appropriately manage high margin versus contractual repairs versus customer expectations.
  • Manage a regional out of service list and work to reduce list month over month by utilizing regional resources/OTEC as needed.
  • Ability to travel as needed from Indiana to Maryland, overnight travel required; majority of travel being managed by the employee based on need and opportunity.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask across multiple projects/problems at any given time
  • Experience in lean, six sigma and/or process improvement
  • Ability to analyze large sets of data and draw conclusions
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve, execute quickly, follow up, and prioritize
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to work independently through self-motivation, and work as a team player
  • Ability to manage, coach, mentor, and train staff
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management. Advanced degree a plus
  • Experience in the industry a plus
  • Fluency in Salesforce and Financial Force packages

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
