This is an office-based position.
Responsibilities
• Ensure that projects remain on schedule, are delivered with high quality, great customer satisfaction and achievement of target profit goals
• Develop and maintain project timelines and resources during length of project according to corporate plan
• Remain aware of any potential problems and works to mitigate risks, facilitating change order procedures as needed
• Monitor project deliverables and progress through continuous communication with project member and establish effective communication with other departments in order to ensure that projects are completed in a timely and effective manner
• Interface with customer and internal project resources to convey project issues and gain status
• Maintain customer satisfaction with consistent communication with all external and internal project resources
• Compile monthly invoicing reports and distribute to the associated customer
• Maintain constant communication with the sales team regarding the status of the implementation and the overall satisfaction of the customer
• Ensure a thorough and successful hand-off of projects to support, post implementation and acceptance
• Interface with development Manager on project issues including timelines and resource allocations
• Contribute to the success of the overall team outside of existing project responsibilities
• Support of evening and/or weekend deployments may be required.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, MIS, Computer Science or related area
• Minimum 1 year of Agile experience
• 6 + years of experience in a project management role (IT/Software)
• External client experience in running and managing projects and financial profitability
• Experience in implementing projects from begin to end for small to mid-size companies
• PMP Certification is also desirable
• Demonstrated ability to manage the financial requirements and profitability of the project engagement from inception to completion
• Must have effective customer interview skills
• Working knowledge of the software development lifecycles and process improvement methodologies
• Excellent time management, organizational and negotiating skills
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint and Visio
• Advanced Management Training and Technical Certifications are a plus
• Ability to effectively communicate in English
• Strong aptitude for problem solving and technology
• Minimum of 1- 3 years' experience in the life insurance or financial institution domain highly desired
