The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance to join their team. The successful candidate will be a strategic and resourceful finance leader, responsible for providing strategic direction and executing finance and accounting functions essential to the real estate development and home building operations. This role involves developing and maintaining financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with financial and accounting policies, and managing legal and financial aspects of the business. The Vice President of Finance will also be involved in investment strategizing, consolidation, reporting, and operations, and must have a strong background in real estate finance, development finance, and investment strategies.
Applicants for the Vice President of Finance position at the company should hold a CPA or CA designation and have a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A minimum of 8 years' experience in an accounting and finance role is required, with a focus on real estate. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Canadian tax laws and regulations, particularly in relation to real estate, and possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools is necessary, as is the ability to translate complex financial information for non-financial stakeholders. Experience in family office or high-net-worth individual wealth management, as well as knowledge of the Greater Toronto Area real estate market, is also a key requirement.
