We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets. #LI-SM2nnMajor Responsibilities:nnLeadership / Supervision (Discipline Supervision of superintendents supporting 50 to 100 craft or Responsible for Area/Facility)nnSupervises and directs craft activities, subordinate superintendents, and others, as assigned. (Direct Hire)nnSchedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft. (Direct Hire)nnPlanning / ProductivitynnDetermines workforce requirements.nnCoordinates established area operational plans.nnTools, Materials & EquipmentnnOversees tool and equipment usage on the site.nnManages the preparation of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures that the craft professionals have the tools they require to be productive.nnSafety & QualitynnEnsures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.nnEnsures assigned construction operations and subcontractors’ performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.nnTechnicalnnWorks with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documentsnnManages engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.nnEducation and Experience Requirements:nnRequires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.nnRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:nnCoordinates with engineering on constructability issuesnnKnowledge of a single or multi-discipline construction or engineering operation.nnKnowledge of Bechtel’s Zero Accident Philosophy.nnKnowledge of the Project ES&H Handbook, the Supervisors ES&H Manual, the Project Safety Management Plan and the Bechtel Core Processes.nnKnowledge of the Six Sigma program tools and methodologies.nnKnowledge of supervisory functions relating to field activities.nnKnowledge of Standard Work Process Procedures (SWPPs).nnComputer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications in accordance with current Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAP) standards.nnDemonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.nnWorking knowledge of unionized labor.nnKnowledge of local labor laws and issues.nnMust be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check which includes verification of employment and education.nnBasic Field Manual and/or Non-Manual supervision experience with a strong electrical background.nnExperience in Construction Project Planning and Scheduling.nnKnowledge of Construction Quality Assurance.nnKnowledge of a single or multi discipline construction or engineering operations.nnKnowledge of supervisory functions relating to field activities.nnWorking knowledge of unionized labor.nnDemonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.nnFamiliarity with current industry quality standards.nnComputer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and technical database applications.nnExperience with lock-out/tag-out requirements and processes.nnExperience with the requirements of NFPA 70E.nnTotal Rewards/Benefits:nnFor decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and beyond!
