DescriptionnnJob Title: Multi-Craft HVAC TechnnDepartment: OperationsnnReports To: Multi-Craft HVAC ForemannnFLSA Status: Non-ExemptnnSummary:nnAt Cherokee Millwright, we are a multi-craft company that focuses on the needs of our customers by providing multi-trades personnel to meet the customer’s unique job requests. Therefore, all field employees will be cross-trained in various trades such as millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, civil, etc. The focus of this position will be to provide preventative care and repairs for HVAC systems and installation of HVAC systems by performing the following duties.nnEssential Duties and Responsibilities:nnReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.nnHelps identify problems with heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning systems for commercial and industrial customers.nnCarefully examines the equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.nnAssists HVAC foreman in the repair or replacement of defective equipment, mechanical components, or wiring within the HVAC system.nnPerforms preventive maintenance tasks and inspections on HVAC equipment.nnInspects HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety.nnKeep records of customer appointments and payment transactions, to include invoices.nnMaintain accurate inventory of all equipment, tools, and HVAC resources.nnPerforms all aspects of installation of HVAC systems.nnAdditional skills in other crafts will be necessary to meet our customers need and will be expected in this role.nnRequirements and Qualifications:nn3-5 years experience requirednnCertification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants requirednnMust hold state HVAC technician licensennCertification or associate’s degree from an HVAC program at a technical school preferrednnStrong verbal communication skills, ability to explain complex HVAC issues with customers in a way they understandnnMust hold state driver’s licensennMust be punctual and adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments in different locationsnnReasoning Ability:nnAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
