QA Inspector General Summary
The QA Inspector will independently perform inspections utilizing various advanced inspection techniques seeking corrosion, defects, or detrimental conditions in accordance with specific written criteria. The QA Inspector will perform inspections, interpret indications, and report results per company requirements. The Technician will be able to communicate processes, procedures and results to customers, engineering, or management staff.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment
- Strictly adheres to QA standards and practices and to sales order, engineering requirements
- Performs all QA Inspections, Testing, calibration duties as assigned.
- Assist non-certified inspectors, or inspections new hires on the job site.
- Capable of testing or attaining job-required NDT certification, as needed.
- Performs inspections for which qualified or certified.
- Interprets and reports results of inspections.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 6 month's experience in inspections in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work with computers / computerized equipment
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English
- Ability to follow written or verbal, technical instructions
Work Conditions
- Position is based at a manufacturing/fabrication, climate-controlled shop environment.
- Interaction with other Inspections employees, as well as engineers, supervisors and third-party inspectors, as needed.
- Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds
- Must be able to walk and stand for majority of eight-hour work day
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employee to communicate effectively
- Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodations, which permits employee to investigations
- Sufficient manual dexterity with or without reasonable accommodation, which permit the employee to perform routine office duties
- Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations to perform inspection duties in a fabrication/manufacturing shop.
- Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Production First Shift
Monday - Friday
05:00 am - 1:30 pm
Production Second Shift
Monday - Friday,
1:30 pm - 10:00 pm
