Our client is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their team!
Essential Responsibilities:
- The Payroll Specialist administers the processing of the organization’s payroll for all business locations
- Collects payroll data to maintain accurate pay records and ensures accurate and timely processing of payments
- Works collaboratively with Human Resources, Operations and Finance to maintain clear processes and regulatory compliance
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
- Responsible for multi-state payroll of all employees for bi-weekly pay period
- Verify time entry for all employees in timekeeping software
- Review reports for exceptions
- Quality check processed payroll reports for accuracy
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
- Ensure processing of pay rate and voluntary deduction changes for new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations
- Processes manual checks such as terminations and discrepancies, stop payments and adjustments of payroll
- Processes end of month reporting for Accounting
- Researches and resolves questions from managers and employees as they relate to the processing of payroll information such as PTO, banking, garnishments, employment verifications, retroactive pay calculations, tax questions, and other changes
- Provide wage reports for outside agencies as needed, including the timely submission of monthly and quarterly reports requested by US Labor and Statistics, the DOL, FL Department of Commerce, etc
- Process accurate and timely quarterly and year-end reporting (W-2s, etc.)
Education/Qualifications:
- 5 years of multistate payroll experience
- Knowledge of wage and hour laws for all applicable states
- Experience with ADP WFN and utilization of ADP comprehensive payroll
- Attention to detail
- Highly organized, good time management
- Ability to adapt to changes in the regulatory environment as appropriate
