This role focuses on purchasing and managing standard parts, consumables, and outside process repairs, as well as supplier communication, inventory management, and order expediting to meet organizational goals. You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations and contributing to organizational success.nnThis is a fully onsite role that sits at our Lenexa, KS site.nnWhat You Will Do:nnProcurement and Management:nnSource, purchase, and manage all aspects of standard parts inventory to support production needs.nnProcure and oversee consumable materials, including chemicals, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.nnManage outside process repairs by coordinating with vendors, obtaining quotes, and tracking repair timelines.nnSupplier Management:nnDevelop and maintain strong relationships a group of suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness from part setup/order placement to delivery.nnSupports purchase orders and payments to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.nnGenerate required key metric packs to insure individual/department goals are on track.nnManage supplier relationships and improvement activities.nnLook for trends, supplier risks, drop in demands, while using procurement tools.nnReview critical shortages with the Planner and stakeholders and work with suppliers to meet urgent or changing operational requirements.nnInventory Management:nnMonitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock.nnConduct regular inventory analysis and reconcile discrepancies to ensure data accuracy.nnCollaborate with the warehouse team to improve inventory organization and streamline processes.nnCollaboration and Reporting:nnWork closely with internal teams, including production, quality, and logistics, to align purchasing activities with operational needs.nnGenerate and maintain purchasing and inventory reports for management review.nnProcess Improvement:nnIdentify opportunities to optimize procurement and inventory management processes.nnImplement cost-saving measures and improve supply chain efficiency.nnProvide Purchasing production line support as assigned.nnOther projects assigned and directed by Leadership.nnQualifications You Must Have:nnTypically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.nnMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
