Job Title : Associate Attorney (Construction Litigation)

Location : Manhattan, NY

Salary : $175,000+

A well-established NYC law firm, located in the heart of Manhattan, is seeking a skilled and passionate Construction Litigator to join their team. With over 50 years of history, a team of approximately 30 Attorneys and Partners, the firm is recognized for its excellence in construction law and commitment to client success.

This is not an insurance defense position. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in the world of construction, combining strong litigation skills with the ability to manage complex contract negotiations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Drafting, negotiating, and analyzing construction contracts to provide tailored solutions for clients
• Handling disputes related to the New York Lien Law, payment issues, and other construction-related legal challenges
• Representing owners, developers, contractors, and subcontractors in litigation, arbitration, and mediation
• Advising clients on claims involving delays, defects, and performance matters

What they need:

• J.D. & Admission to practice law in NY
• 3+ years of experience in construction litigation and transactional construction law
• Strong understanding of the New York Lien Law and relevant construction statutes
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex construction contracts
• A genuine passion for the construction industry, with experience working closely with professionals in the field
• Exceptional advocacy, writing, and negotiation skills
