CNC Operator Edmonton, Alberta Job Description and Responsibilities - Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
- Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts.
- Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments.
- Set up and adjust production machineries/tools.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables.
- Fitting and assembling components and machine parts to close tolerance.
- Repair machine tools and parts.
- Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements - Grade 12 minimum.
- Computer numerical control (CNC) machines operation experience preferred, but not required.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables.
- Read and Understand API 5CT specifications.
