Job FunctionReporting into the Director of Global Compensation, the Senior Compensation Analyst will be based in Houston, Texas and will be instrumental in analyzing and administering compensation programs that align with our company's objectives and ensure competitive pay structures. This role will require collaboration with HR, management, and other stakeholders to provide insights on compensation data, support the development of salary structures, and assist in creating incentive programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of compensation strategies, data analysis, and the ability to assess compensation trends in the market.
Responsibilities - Analyze and evaluate internal salary data and external market data to determine competitive compensation levels. Perform salary benchmarking and provide recommendations for adjustments.
- Assist in developing and maintaining salary structures, including pay grades and salary ranges, ensuring alignment with company goals and market competitiveness.
- Conduct job evaluations to ensure jobs are correctly classified and aligned with compensation strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date compensation data in the HRIS (Human Resource Information System). Monitor and ensure data integrity and compliance with compensation practices.
- Conduct market surveys and research to gather compensation data and industry trends. Analyze compensation trends and provide insights to HR and business leadership.
- Provide guidance and support to HR Business Partners, managers, and employees on compensation-related inquiries, ensuring clear communication of compensation policies and programs.
- Identify opportunities to streamline compensation processes and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of compensation administration.
- Ensure that all benefits programs comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop and deliver training sessions, as needed, for managers and employees on compensation programs or process.
Required Experience- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in compensation analysis or compensation management.
- Strong understanding of compensation strategies, job evaluation methods, and market benchmarking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) and HRIS systems.
- Familiarity with compensation laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex compensation data in a clear and concise manner.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Experience- International compensation experience preferred.
Travel Requirements:Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsGeneral office environment and operation of computer and office equipment, e.g. fax, copier, scanner.
