Description

Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Marketing Manager to take a lead role in shaping, refining, and consistently executing our brand's voice, look, and feel across all marketing channels. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our brand strongly resonates authentically with our target audience while maintaining a cohesive identity that supports business growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, creative storyteller, and skilled collaborator with a deep understanding of branding, marketing strategies, audience insights, and marketing campaign effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Brand Strategy and Messaging Alignment
    • Develop, refine, and implement a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with company goals and values.
    • Ensure all marketing and business initiatives embody the brand's voice, tone, and visual identity, conducting regular audits of marketing materials to ensure consistency and quality.
    • Develop a thoughtful brand architecture approach alongside senior leadership ensuring all audiences (staff, B2B, B2C) can navigate our total offering with clarity and inspiration (reducing brand confusion / mental load).
    • Lead the development of evergreen messaging frameworks to communicate effectively and consistently with our diverse audiences.
    • Stay informed about industry best practices, cultural trends and audience insights to adapt messaging for relevancy and impact.
  2. Marketing Strategy and Campaign Planning
    • Develop an annual marketing plan in partnership with other senior leaders that supports the overall business strategic plan across all divisions.
    • Create then execute a marketing content calendar for all Ground entities that acts as a playbook for all marketing initiatives, prioritizing key messages, strategic imperatives and, weighting of channels/investment.
    • In partnership with Marketing Manager, author seasonal campaign briefs for agency partners that identify strategic imperatives such as unique target audience insight/problem to solve, channel strategy and creative requirements.
  3. Creative Direction and Execution
    • Collaborate with external partners to produce compelling marketing campaigns that reflect the brand's personality and deliver business results.
    • Oversee the creation of content and materials, including advertising, social media, website assets, and email campaigns, ensuring they align with the brand's aesthetic and tone.
    • Act as the guardian of the brand look and feel, providing guidance and approvals for creative projects.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with product, sales, and other internal teams to align marketing efforts with broader business objectives.
    • Act as the central point of contact for brand guidelines review and marketing strategy inquiries
  5. Performance and Optimization
    • Monitor the performance of overall marketing budget and individual campaigns, analyzing results to unearth the 'why' behind strong results as well as insights behind areas for improvement.
    • Provide actionable insights to refine and optimize seasonal campaign strategies, identifying opportunities to quickly iterate to ensure increased ROI.
    • Collaborate with CRM leader to establish loyalty and track performance.
  6. Leadership and Mentorship
    • Mentor and manage junior marketing team members, fostering growth and skill development.
    • Promote a culture of creativity, innovation, and accountability within the marketing team.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, branding, or related roles, with at least 2 years in a senior or managerial position.
  • Proven ability to craft and execute cohesive brand strategies across multiple channels.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms, such as content management systems, analytics tools, and design software.
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams, with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style.
  • Ability to travel locally as necessary.
