Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Entry-Level Lab Technician to join our Research and Development team. This role is ideal for individuals who have recently earned or are in the process of earning a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field and have 0-1 years of lab-based experience. The R&D Lab Technician will support ongoing research projects by assisting in various laboratory tasks, performing experiments, and ensuring smooth daily lab operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, execution, and analysis of research experiments under the guidance of senior R&D staff.
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, chemicals, and supplies.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, experiments, and document findings according to established procedures.
- Collect, record, and analyze experimental data; assist with the preparation of reports and presentations.
- Help calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Assist with literature reviews and background research to support ongoing projects.
- Support other R&D team members with troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical support as needed.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, or a related discipline) OR currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (with at least 2 years completed).
- 0-1 years of laboratory experience (internships, coursework labs, volunteer experience, etc. are acceptable).
- Basic understanding of laboratory equipment and scientific principles.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques and protocols (e.g., pipetting, preparing solutions, maintaining lab equipment).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work with chemicals, biological materials, and laboratory equipment.
- Must be able to stand, sit, and work for extended periods in a laboratory environment.
